Q: Is this the same as a chemical peel?
A: Our Texture Correction Pads have a low pH level of 4 and contain glycolic acid at a 20% concentration, which is like a mild chemical peel.
Q: Do I have to rinse this product off?
A: No, this is a self-neutralising product and you don’t need to rinse it off. You can apply a moisturiser 10 to 15 minutes after application.
Q: Can I use this product daily?
A: It will depend on your skin tolerance. If you regularly have chemical peels, or use other products with AHA, your skin will be more tolerant. For first time users, we recommend using the products once every 3 to 4 days, thereafter you can increase the frequency as tolerance develops.
Q: Do I use the pad as a physical exfoliator?
A: No, this is a very important point. The exfoliation power of this product is in the liquid, and not the pad so it is very important to swipe the pad gently over the skin without any undue pressure.
Q: Is there any downtime after using this product?
A: It is normal for the skin to become red and tingly after applying the product. This usually dissipates within 5 to 10 minutes, and redness usually disappears within 20 minutes.
