Alpha Hydroxy Acids

This resurfacing lotion contains professional strength alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) with 10% Lactic Acid and 5% Glycolic Acid. Lactic Acid is a gentler and more moisturizing AHA. Glycolic Acid is the most predictable and reliable AHA. Due to its small molecular size – Glycolic Acid has the smallest molecular size of all the AHAs – Glycolic Acid penetrates deeper and gives more efficient exfoliation. It is an AHA lotion extremely well tolerated by most skin types.

Moisturizing & exfoliating

It’s an exfoliating facial lotion with a twist – it’s base of organic aloe vera juice, seed oils and moisturizers buffers against the AHAs to condition and nourish the skin while the AHAs work to renew your skin and reveal a brighter and healthier appearance.

Brighter skin, reduced appearance of blemishes

The AHAs work synergistically by dissolving the bonds between dead skin cells to effectively exfoliate and resurface your skin revealing brighter, glowing skin with smoother texture. dr.dermal’s Texture Correction Lotion is an advanced moisturising lotion that provides deep hydration to the skin. With regular use it enhances cellular renewal and leaves the skin feeling silky soft.

Apply to cleansed, dry skin. For additional hydration add 1 to 2 drops of The Omega Oil. Use in the evening only.

Q: Is this the same as a chemical peel?

A: Our Texture Correction Lotion contains 10% lactic acid and 5% glycolic acid  at a pH of around 3.5 so it is like a mild peel.

 

Q: Do I have to rinse this product off?

A: No, this is a self-neutralising product, and you don’t need to rinse it off.

 

Q: Can I use this product daily?

A: It will depend on your skin’s tolerance. If you regularly have chemical peels, or use other products with AHA, your skin will be more tolerant. For first time users, we recommend using the products once every 3 to 4 days and thereafter you can increase the frequency as your tolerance develops.

 

Q: Is there any downtime after using this product?

A: There may be slight redness for a few minutes, but there is no downtime.

For external use only. Do not use on broken skin. Keep away from eyes and mucosa. If contact occurs, rinse with water. If irritation, redness or itching occurs reduce frequency of use. If symptoms persist, discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from heat and direct sunlight.
